Panama extends nationwide rainfall and storm watch

Panama’s Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology extended a nationwide and maritime watch from October 4 through October 5 because of Tropical Wave No. 50 and saturated soils. Authorities warned of heavy rain, flash floods, river surges, landslides, lightning and strong wind gusts, particularly in the Central Cordillera, western Pacific and Veraguas.
