Uzbekistan merges two education ministries into a unified Ministry of Education and Science

The Ministry of Preschool and School Education and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation have been merged into a unified Ministry of Education and Science. The reform also proposes greater university autonomy and a separate national agency responsible for education quality assurance.
